Avocado warrants its mattresses against defects in material and workmanship for 25 years, for the original purchaser who bought directly from Avocado. It is the longest fixed term in our comparison, and it splits cleanly in two.
YEARS 1–10: FULL COVERAGE. Avocado replaces or repairs a defective mattress at its option, at no prorated charge.
YEARS 11–25: PRORATED. Avocado will replace the mattress at a prorated charge based on the original purchase price, plus transportation and shipping charges. The prorated share rises by five percentage points for each subsequent year of the prorated period — by the later years of the term you are paying most of the price of a new mattress.
THE SAG THRESHOLD. A visible indentation equal to or greater than one and a half (1.5) inches, visible to the naked eye with no weight applied. The organic crib mattress uses a stricter three-quarter-inch (0.75") threshold, and the mattress topper warranty uses one inch.
THE FOUNDATION CONDITION. Coverage excludes indentations associated with or resulting from a faulty, improper or unsupportive foundation. Avocado's own support guidance is model-specific, so check the care page for the exact slat spacing and centre-support requirement for the mattress you own, and photograph your base while it is new.
WHO IS COVERED. The warranty applies only to a mattress purchased directly from Avocado by the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
OUR READ. A 25-year headline is marketing; ten years of real coverage plus a long prorated tail is the substance. That is still a strong offer for an organic latex hybrid that is genuinely built to be repaired, but do the arithmetic before assuming year 18 is covered in any meaningful sense.
