Mattress Finder
Seven questions. Three matches, scored live against every mattress in our test database — not a fixed list.
Question 1 of 7
How do you sleep most of the night?
How the Sleep Sage mattress finder works
Every recommendation above is scored against the same mattress database that powers our full-length reviews — not a hand-picked list. When you answer the quiz, we weight each mattress on the factors that matter most for your profile: your primary sleep position, body weight, firmness preference, budget, whether you sleep hot, whether you share the bed, and your top priority (pressure relief, support, cooling, durability, or value).
Position and weight drive the firmness match. Side sleepers and lightweight sleepers need more contouring at the shoulders and hips, so softer and medium mattresses score higher; back and stomach sleepers — and anyone over 230 lbs — get recommendations tilted toward medium-firm and firm builds with stronger support cores. If you sleep hot, mattresses with coil airflow, latex, or phase-change cooling covers outrank dense all-foam beds. Couples see extra weight placed on motion isolation and edge support, the two traits our testing shows matter most when two people share a mattress.
Your budget answer filters the results to mattresses you can actually buy at that price, based on current sale pricing we track across every brand — not inflated MSRP. Because the finder reads live from the database, any mattress we add or re-test automatically becomes eligible the moment its scores are published.
Once you have your matches, open each review for the full lab breakdown — firmness and support scores, cooling results, motion transfer, and who each mattress is best for — or put two finalists into the comparison engine to see them side by side. Still deciding between sizes or sleep setups? The mattress size calculator and the rest of our sleep calculators can help you narrow it down.
