Brooklyn Bedding covers its mattresses with a limited lifetime warranty for the period of the original purchaser's ownership, dated from the original purchase date, when the mattress is used normally for its intended purpose.
YEARS 1–10: NON-PRORATED. Brooklyn Bedding repairs or replaces any defective mattress at no cost to the original purchaser.
YEARS 11 ONWARD: PRORATED. During years 11–15 the replacement charge is 50% of the then-current retail price of the same model and size; during years 16–20 it is 60%; in the later bands it reaches 75%. As with Helix, the calculation uses current retail rather than the price you originally paid.
THE SAG THRESHOLD. Deterioration causing a visible indentation greater than one and one-half (1.5) inches, provided it is not associated with sag resulting from an improper or unsupportive foundation or adjustable bed base.
THE 5-INCH SLAT RULE. Any foundation, box spring, frame or other base with slats greater than 5 inches apart is considered improper and voids the limited lifetime warranty. Measure between slats before you buy a frame, not after a sag appears.
SPLITTING AND CRACKING. Brooklyn Bedding also covers a physical flaw that causes the foam or spring material to split or crack despite normal use and proper support — useful, because that failure mode is often argued about rather than covered.
PAPERWORK AND LOGISTICS. Warranties are not transferable; retain a copy of your receipt as proof of purchase. To claim, the original purchaser must return the mattress or mattress cover to Brooklyn Bedding with proof of the original purchase date, and Brooklyn Bedding ships the repaired or replacement mattress back.
