Purple Original
Original is part of the Purple lineup. Hyper-Elastic Polymer GelFlex Grid — a feel unlike any other mattress. We have no documented instrumented test results for this exact model.
Our take
The Original is the mattress that introduced the GelFlex Grid — a hyper-elastic polymer grid that collapses under pressure points and stays firm elsewhere. The feel is genuinely unlike foam or springs: floating, instantly responsive, and extremely breathable. It's polarizing; people either love the grid immediately or never adjust to it.
Historical Purple brand-wide Queen range: $1,099–$4,499 (mid-luxury). This is not this model's verified price or a current offer.

Construction

Purple signature technology
- GelFlex Grid: 2-inch hyper-elastic polymer grid with 1,400+ open cells — collapses under pressure but stays firm under support, producing a unique floating sensation.
- Premium Coil Hybrid Construction: Restore and RestorePremier models add zoned pocketed coils under the grid for hybrid support and bounce.
- Multi-Zone GelFlex (RestorePremier): Different grid stiffness across the surface — softer at shoulders, firmer at lumbar, providing adaptive zoned support.
