Avocado's Organic Cotton Sateen Sheets are GOTS-certified, made from long-staple organic cotton in a luxurious sateen weave. The 300 thread count delivers a silky-smooth finish without being overly heavy. Free from chemical treatments, synthetic dyes, and formaldehyde.
Our Hands-On Experience
Sateen and percale are the choice that actually determines whether you like a set of cotton sheets, and this is firmly the sateen camp: smooth, with a soft sheen and a drape that follows the body rather than standing away from it. If you have ever described hotel sheets as too crisp, this is the weave you wanted.
Long-staple organic cotton is the reason they hold up. Longer fibers mean fewer exposed ends, which is why after a dozen washes our set showed no pilling — the failure mode that kills cheaper cotton sheets in the first season.
Sateen traps marginally more heat than percale, so committed hot sleepers should look at Avocado's linen set instead. At $199 the GOTS certification and the durability are what you are paying for; buy them for softness and longevity rather than for cooling.
