Parachute's Linen set is the sheet that launched a thousand Instagram bedrooms: garment-washed European flax that arrives soft rather than stiff, with the relaxed, slightly rumpled look that defines the California casual aesthetic. Linen's hollow fibers make it the most breathable sheet fabric we test — genuinely cooler in summer and surprisingly insulating in winter — and Parachute's pre-washing skips the break-in period cheaper linen demands. The fit is intentionally relaxed (linen drapes rather than hugs), the colorways are best-in-class, and the fabric gets better every year you own it. The catch is price: at $349 it's among the most expensive mainstream linen sets, and budget shoppers can get 80% of the experience from Quince at half the cost. But for fabric quality, finishing, and color curation, Parachute remains the linen benchmark.

Three years in, better than ever
Bought the terra color in 2023 and it's softened into the best fabric I own. Cool in our LA summers, cozy in winter. Expensive but cost-per-use is pennies.
Love it, but know linen
Gorgeous texture and sleeps wonderfully cool. Just be aware linen always looks a little wrinkled — if you want crisp hotel corners, buy percale instead.
