Our Review
Purple's SoftStretch Sheets use a 4-way stretch knit fabric specifically designed not to flatten or restrict the GelFlex Grid in Purple mattresses. The bamboo viscose base wicks moisture and sleeps remarkably cool. Even on non-Purple mattresses, the stretch fit eliminates wrinkles and creates a snug, smooth surface.
Our Hands-On Experience
These exist to solve a specific problem: conventional fitted sheets pull taut across Purple's GelFlex Grid and flatten it, which cancels part of what you paid for. The four-way stretch knit here moves with the grid instead of compressing it, and the difference in surface feel on a Purple mattress is immediately noticeable.
The bamboo viscose base does the cooling work and does it well — this was among the coolest-sleeping sets in our lineup, helped by the knit structure moving more air than a woven sheet.
Knit fabric pills if you wash it with anything abrasive, the spandex content will fatigue before a 100% bamboo sheet would, and colors are limited to neutrals. At $169 they are close to mandatory if you own a Purple, and a good cool-sleeping knit set even if you do not.

Immediately obvious that the grid's contour behavior is intact. A regular percale sheet noticeably firms up a Purple.

Care, washing & durability
Wash cold and tumble low. High heat degrades the elastane content that makes them work.
These are a functional accessory for a Purple mattress, not a general upgrade. On a foam or innerspring bed you'd rather have cotton.
The bottom line
If you own a Purple, buy these — a standard tight-woven sheet measurably compromises the grid. On any other mattress, spend the $169 elsewhere.
