Our Review
Built on the same foundation as the Green Pillow but with significantly more fill for a higher loft, the Side Sleeper variant is engineered to keep the spine aligned when sleeping on your side. The extra height bridges the gap between shoulder and head, preventing neck strain.
Our Hands-On Experience
Side sleeping is a loft problem before it is a comfort problem. The gap between the mattress and the ear is wider than most pillows fill, and an under-lofted pillow tips the head down and strains the neck all night. This variant simply packs far more of the same kapok-latex fill to close that gap.
For our broad-shouldered testers it was the first Avocado pillow that held cervical alignment through the night without needing a folded towel underneath. Because the fill is still removable, sleepers who found it slightly too tall could dial it back rather than returning it.
That height makes it wrong for back and stomach sleeping — you will feel your chin pressed toward your chest immediately. At $179 it is expensive, but if you sleep on your side and wake with neck stiffness, loft is the variable to fix first, and this fixes it.
