The Avocado Pure Talalay Luxury Pillow uses Talalay-process latex, which is softer and more responsive than traditional Dunlop latex. The open-cell structure provides superior airflow, and the buoyant feel offers a perfect blend of cushioning and support.
Our Hands-On Experience
Talalay latex has a lighter, more open cell structure than Dunlop, and in pillow form that translates to a buoyant medium-soft feel that lifts the head rather than letting it settle. If you have tried a solid Dunlop pillow and found it too firm and dense, this is the fix.
Airflow is exceptional. Across a warm test cycle the surface never developed the heat pocket that memory foam pillows build up by the second hour, and the latex itself is naturally dust-mite resistant, which matters for allergy sufferers.
At $199 it is the most expensive pillow Avocado sells, and the loft is fixed. That makes it a poor bet for stomach sleepers or anyone with an unusual shoulder width. For back sleepers and mid-build side sleepers who want durable, cool, no-maintenance support, it is the best pillow in the range.
