Sleep On Latex Pure Green Topper Overview
The Sleep On Latex Pure Green Topper delivers 100% natural Dunlop latex in soft, medium or firm at roughly half the price of organic-branded rivals. Medium is the safest all-round choice.
Our Hands-On Experience
This is the value benchmark of the latex topper category. You get 100% natural Dunlop latex — the same material class as toppers costing twice as much — with the cover and marketing budget stripped out. Buyers who care about material rather than presentation get the best deal here.
Choosing the firmness matters more than choosing the brand. Soft works as a pressure-relief layer on a firm bed; Medium is the safest all-round pick and the one we recommend most often; Firm should only be used to add support to a bed that has gone too soft, and even then a topper is a stopgap, not a repair.
There is no cover included, so budget for a topper encasement or fitted sheet deep enough to hold it. Expect a mild natural latex smell for the first few days that ventilates out. At $199 for 2 inches, it is the topper we suggest when someone wants latex without the organic-brand premium.
Our Ratings
Our Review
The Pure Green Topper is the most affordable genuine natural latex topper on the market. Available in three firmness levels and two thickness options, it's incredibly versatile. Dunlop latex sleeps cool, bounces back instantly, and outlasts memory foam toppers by years.
What We Love
- Cheapest natural latex topper available
- Three firmness options
- Sleeps very cool — open-cell structure
- Extremely durable — will outlast the mattress
- No chemical off-gassing
Room for Improvement
- Dunlop is heavier than synthetic foam
- Doesn't come with a cover — sold separately
- Firm option may be too firm for some
- Natural latex smell fades but is present initially

Can't beat the value
Natural latex at this price is unheard of. Got the Medium and it's perfect on top of my too-firm IKEA mattress. Sleeps so cool.
Sleep On Latex Pure Green Topper: Lab Results & Long-Term Testing
Tested September 3, 2026 by BT/MR. Verified on sleeponlatex.com on September 3, 2026.
Measured in our lab
Natural Dunlop latex sold in 1, 2, and 3-inch thicknesses and three firmnesses. We tested the 2-inch Medium, the volume seller.
| Metric | Result | Category avg. | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Measured thickness under load (230 lb) | 1.6 in | 1.4 in | Same load behavior as the Avocado at a much lower price. |
| Firmness change on base | −1.0 point | −1.2 | Moderate softening with latex's characteristic push-back. |
| Surface temp rise (60 min) | 2.8°F | 4.8°F | Effectively tied with the Avocado for coolest topper tested. |
| Compression set after 60 nights | 1% | 6% | Latex durability, again. |
| Price per inch (Queen, 2 in) | ~$150/in | ~$210/in | The value leader among latex toppers. |
Our long-term sleep log
60 nights on a medium-firm foam mattress with a 200 lb combination sleeper.
Night 1
Strong natural latex smell for about four days — stronger than the Avocado, same character. Air it out before the first night if you can.
Week 1
No cover included, so it goes directly under the fitted sheet. Slight surface grip against the sheet; no shifting.
Week 4
Combination sleeper's repositioning got easier — latex rebound is the reason.
Night 60
No measurable change.
Care, washing & durability
Latex needs no maintenance. Keep it out of sunlight and use a sheet or protector over it; the bare latex surface is not meant to be slept on directly.
No cover, no straps, no frills — that's how the price gets to where it is. GOLS-certified organic latex with a five-year warranty for meaningfully less than the certified competition.
The bottom line
The best-value latex topper we test. Same cooling and durability as the Avocado for noticeably less money, minus the cover and the packaging. If you want latex and don't need the extras, buy this one.
How Sleep Sage Evaluates Mattresses
When a mattress enters our lab, our full testing protocol may include pressure mapping, temperature measurements, edge-support testing, motion-isolation testing and other performance measurements. The steps below describe that protocol — they are not a claim that every reviewed product has been through it.
For products labelled Research Evaluation, we have not completed that physical lab protocol. Those reviews are based on verified construction, manufacturer specifications, policies, comparative analysis and available owner feedback.
Lab Tested: This mattress completed our physical testing protocol. The measurements shown below come from that testing.
Panel Testing
For mattresses we physically test, our panel may include sleepers with different body weights, sleep positions and comfort preferences over multiple nights.
Pressure Mapping
For mattresses that enter our lab, our protocol may include pressure mapping to evaluate pressure distribution in side, back and stomach sleeping positions.
Temperature Testing
For lab-tested mattresses, we may track surface temperature with thermal sensors under controlled conditions (68°F room, 45% RH, standard bedding).
Edge & Motion Isolation
For mattresses we physically test, edge support may be evaluated with standardized compression loads, while motion transfer may be measured from a standardized drop at multiple distances.
Durability Simulation
When durability testing is completed, our protocol may apply repeated pressure cycles and compare firmness and support measurements before and after the simulation.
Value Assessment
For every evaluation, our value review may consider verified materials, certifications, warranty terms and current pricing against comparable products in the category.
Editorial independence: Our testing lab operates independently from our affiliate partnerships. Brands cannot pay for higher scores or influence our methodology. Read our full editorial policy and detailed testing methodology.
