The A8 does the same essential job as a mid-tier Sleep Number — two independently inflatable chambers under a foam comfort layer, adjusted by remote — for roughly $1,000 to $1,500 less at typical street prices. We had an i8 quote and then found this. Functionally the same experience for us. The finer firmness scale genuinely helps — 20 steps was too coarse for my back.
Buying blind is the hard part
No store near me so it was a leap. It worked out, but I understand why people pay the Sleep Number premium to lie on one first.
The middle seam is real
Two chambers means a ridge in the middle. You stop noticing after a month but it is there. Everything else has been great.
