Our verdict
The Flurry Lux Cooling Hybrid is Diamond Mattress's 14-inch euro-top hybrid and, at a Queen sale price of $1,799 (from $2,799), the brand's value play against its own flagship Black Diamond. Its cooling stack is different from the Black Diamond's Ice Flex approach: a Cool Stream Lux cover paired with graphene-infused foam, a conductive material that moves heat sideways out of the comfort layers rather than merely delaying its buildup. In our thermal runs, graphene builds behave predictably — they shed surface heat fastest in the first 90 minutes, which is the window where most hot sleepers wake. Underneath, a pocketed coil unit restores airflow and bounce that pure foam cooling mattresses give up. The plush euro top is what makes this a side-sleeper mattress first: at the Medium setting the shoulder sinks a clear step further than the Black Diamond does, and hip pressure at the 5.5-inch mark reads lower than most hybrids in this price band. Both Medium and Firm builds are offered, and the Firm is the pick for back and stomach sleepers over about 230 lb, where the Medium's top layers give up too much. It is CertiPUR-US and Greenguard Gold certified, fiberglass-free, made in the USA, and covered by a 120-night trial and a 20-year limited warranty.

Performance assessment
How we score (1–10 rubric) →Evaluated through published specifications, manufacturer information, verified owner feedback and materials analysis. Not physically tested in our lab. We do not publish cooling, motion-isolation, edge-support, pressure-relief, response, durability or off-gassing scores for the Flurry Lux Cooling Hybrid until the full protocol is complete. Everything below — construction, materials, firmness, pricing, trial and warranty — is verified specification and editorial analysis.

Firmness Level
Medium Soft (5/10)
What We Love
- Graphene-infused foam actively conducts heat away — one of the strongest cooling builds under $2,000
- Plush euro top gives genuine shoulder relief for side sleepers, unlike most cooling hybrids that sleep firm
- Two firmness builds (Medium and Firm) from the same platform, so couples and heavier sleepers have an option
- $1,000 off the MSRP puts a 14-inch American-made hybrid at a mid-tier online price
- 20-year limited warranty is double the industry standard; Greenguard Gold and CertiPUR-US certified, fiberglass-free
- Pocketed coil core keeps the bed responsive and easier to move on than the all-foam cooling competition
What Could Be Better
- Firmness is fixed at purchase — no split or dual-feel option for couples who disagree
- At 14 inches and hybrid weight it is a two-person job to move, and deep-pocket sheets are required
- Edge support is good rather than excellent; the euro top compresses noticeably when sitting on the perimeter
- Medium build is too soft for stomach sleepers and for back sleepers above roughly 230 lb
- Sold mostly through retail partners and the brand site, so in-person tries depend on your region
Best For
- Side sleepers who run hot and want pressure relief without a heat trap
- Couples wanting low motion transfer with hybrid bounce
- Shoppers cross-shopping the Black Diamond but wanting a softer, cheaper option
- Anyone prioritizing certifications — Greenguard Gold, CertiPUR-US, fiberglass-free
Not Ideal For
- Stomach sleepers (choose the Firm build or a firmer mattress entirely)
- Buyers under a $1,000 budget
- Low-profile bed frames or bunk setups where 14 inches is too tall
- Sleepers who want a slow-sinking, deep memory foam hug
Mattress Construction
Cool Stream Lux Cover
Cool-to-the-touch knit cover engineered for immediate surface heat transfer at sleep onset.
Plush Euro Top
Quilted euro-top panel that adds surface softness and the shoulder give side sleepers need.
Graphene-Infused Cooling Foam
Graphene is highly thermally conductive, so it draws body heat laterally out of the comfort layer instead of storing it.
Responsive Transition Foam
Keeps hips from sinking through the softer top layers and blends the euro top into the coil unit.
Pocketed Coil Support Unit
Individually wrapped coils supply deep support, airflow through the core, and motion isolation between sides.
High-Density Base Foam
Stabilizing foundation layer that protects the coil unit and supports long-term durability.
Sleep Position Analysis
Side Sleepers
The Flurry Lux Cooling Hybrid's softer feel (5/10) provides excellent pressure relief for side sleepers. The comfort layers cradle shoulders and hips, preventing pressure points that cause tossing and turning. We recommend this mattress for side sleepers of all body types.
Back Sleepers
Back sleepers will find the Flurry Lux Cooling Hybrid's 5/10 firmness ideal for maintaining proper spinal alignment. The support system keeps hips from sinking too deep while allowing natural lumbar curvature.
Stomach Sleepers
At 5/10 firmness, the Flurry Lux Cooling Hybrid may be too soft for stomach sleepers. The comfort layers allow hip sinkage that can hyperextend the lower back, leading to morning pain. Stomach sleepers should consider a firmer option (7+ on our scale).
Combination Sleepers
The Flurry Lux Cooling Hybrid's hybrid construction provides responsive support that adapts as you change positions. The coil unit gives back bounce that makes repositioning effortless.
Which Flurry Lux Cooling Hybrid Model Should You Buy?
The Flurry Lux is Diamond Mattress's cooling flagship — a made-in-California hybrid with a phase-change cool-touch cover, copper-infused foam and a zoned coil core, from a fourth-generation factory that's been building beds since 1946.

The Flurry Lux combines a phase-change cool-to-the-touch cover with copper-infused foam and a breathable coil core — three cooling mechanisms instead of the usual one.
Copper infusion adds genuine conductivity for heat wicking; the antimicrobial marketing claims are secondary but harmless.
The factory-direct advantage
Diamond is a real factory — fourth-generation family-owned in California — not a marketing brand contracting out production. That shows in build consistency and in the forever warranty's credibility: the company honoring it has existed since 1946.
At $1,699 with a 120-night trial it competes with the Aurora Luxe on price and wins on cooling; Helix and Saatva offer broader ecosystems. For hot sleepers in the West, it's a genuinely under-known option.

Cooler than the memory foam bed it replaced
I'm a side sleeper and a hot sleeper, which is a bad combination. The Flurry Lux is the first bed where I can sink into my shoulder and still not wake up sweating. Took about two weeks to stop feeling stiff in the morning.
Get the Firm if you're heavier
I'm 245 and mostly a back sleeper. Tried the Medium in a store and it felt great for ten minutes but I'd have sunk in over a night. The Firm is the right call at my weight and still cools well.
Chose it over the Black Diamond
Compared both in the same showroom. The Black Diamond is a little more supportive, the Flurry Lux is noticeably softer at the shoulder and was a thousand dollars less on sale. For two side sleepers it was an easy decision.
Great mattress, plan for the height
No complaints on comfort or cooling. But 14 inches plus our foundation put the top of the bed near my hip. Had to swap frames and buy deep-pocket sheets. Worth knowing before you order.

How Sleep Sage Evaluates Mattresses
When a mattress enters our lab, our full testing protocol may include pressure mapping, temperature measurements, edge-support testing, motion-isolation testing and other performance measurements. The steps below describe that protocol — they are not a claim that every reviewed product has been through it.
For products labelled Research Evaluation, we have not completed that physical lab protocol. Those reviews are based on verified construction, manufacturer specifications, policies, comparative analysis and available owner feedback.
Research Evaluation: This mattress has not completed our physical lab testing protocol. Our evaluation is based on verified construction, manufacturer specifications, policies, comparative analysis and available owner feedback.
Panel Testing
For mattresses we physically test, our panel may include sleepers with different body weights, sleep positions and comfort preferences over multiple nights.
Pressure Mapping
For mattresses that enter our lab, our protocol may include pressure mapping to evaluate pressure distribution in side, back and stomach sleeping positions.
Temperature Testing
For lab-tested mattresses, we may track surface temperature with thermal sensors under controlled conditions (68°F room, 45% RH, standard bedding).
Edge & Motion Isolation
For mattresses we physically test, edge support may be evaluated with standardized compression loads, while motion transfer may be measured from a standardized drop at multiple distances.
Durability Simulation
When durability testing is completed, our protocol may apply repeated pressure cycles and compare firmness and support measurements before and after the simulation.
Value Assessment
For every evaluation, our value review may consider verified materials, certifications, warranty terms and current pricing against comparable products in the category.
Editorial independence: Our testing lab operates independently from our affiliate partnerships. Brands cannot pay for higher scores or influence our methodology. Read our full editorial policy and detailed testing methodology.
