Earl Kluft effectively created the modern American luxury mattress category in the 1980s, and the Beyond Luxury Sublime is the current expression of that legacy — now produced under the Aireloom/E.S. Kluft umbrella in California. The build is unapologetically maximalist: a hand-tufted cashmere-blend cover, comfort layers of Joma wool, horsetail and natural latex, and a nested-coil support system with micro-coils above the primary pocket coils. The result is the plushest feel in this entire ultra-luxury group — closer to a European pillow-top grand-hotel bed than to the taut, springy Hästens or the buoyant Vispring. That plushness is the pitch and the warning: side sleepers and anyone who wants to sink into a mattress will prefer it to the Scandinavian and British competition, while back sleepers over 200 lb may find it too yielding. At roughly $9,000–$11,000 in King through retailers like Bloomingdale's, it is the most accessible of the true ultra-luxury tier — half the entry price of a Hästens 2000T setup — and frequent department-store promotions make the effective price lower still.

Heaven for my wife, soft for me
