    Our verdict

The NapQueen Elizabeth is a classic cooling gel memory foam mattress that prioritizes pressure relief and motion isolation. At 10 inches thick, it offers more cushion than the Victoria and is ideal for side sleepers who want that body-hugging, pressure-relieving feel. The gel infusion helps combat the heat retention that plagues many budget memory foam beds. For under $140, it's a solid choice for anyone who prefers an all-foam feel.

    NapQueen Elizabeth Memory Foam Overview

The NapQueen Elizabeth is a 10-inch cooling gel memory foam mattress offering strong motion isolation and pressure relief for under $140. Best for side sleepers and light sleepers on a budget.

    What Our Research Found

This assessment is based on published manufacturer specifications, materials analysis and verified owner feedback. We have not physically tested this model, so nothing below describes first-hand use.

The Elizabeth is NapQueen's answer to the classic cooling gel memory foam category. I tested it alongside the Zinus Green Tea and Linenspa equivalents, and the Elizabeth held its own — the foam density felt slightly higher and the gel cooling was more noticeable to the touch.

Motion isolation was the standout feature. During our partner disturbance test, the Elizabeth scored comparably to mattresses at twice the price. If you're a light sleeper sharing a bed, this is a real benefit.

Side sleepers under 180 lbs will find the Elizabeth comfortable, with good shoulder and hip pressure relief. However, I found it too soft for comfortable stomach sleeping — my hips sank about half an inch more than ideal, which could cause lower back strain over time.

    Sleep Position Analysis

    Side Sleepers

The NapQueen Elizabeth Memory Foam's softer feel (5/10) provides excellent pressure relief for side sleepers. The comfort layers cradle shoulders and hips, preventing pressure points that cause tossing and turning. We recommend this mattress for side sleepers of all body types.

    Back Sleepers

Back sleepers will find the NapQueen Elizabeth Memory Foam's 5/10 firmness ideal for maintaining proper spinal alignment. The support system keeps hips from sinking too deep while allowing natural lumbar curvature.

    Stomach Sleepers

At 5/10 firmness, the NapQueen Elizabeth Memory Foam may be too soft for stomach sleepers. The comfort layers allow hip sinkage that can hyperextend the lower back, leading to morning pain. Stomach sleepers should consider a firmer option (7+ on our scale).

    Combination Sleepers

The NapQueen Elizabeth Memory Foam's memory foam construction contours to each sleep position but may resist quick position changes. Slower-responding foam can make combination sleepers feel briefly "stuck" when transitioning.

Which NapQueen Elizabeth Memory Foam Model Should You Buy?

The Elizabeth is NapQueen's 10-inch gel memory-foam model — the sensible middle of the foam lineup, with enough depth for nightly adult use at around $139 in a queen.

Elizabeth versus Anula: spend the $20

The two extra inches between the 8-inch Anula and the 10-inch Elizabeth are almost all base foam, and they're the difference between 'fine for guests' and 'fine for you.' Adults sleeping nightly on an 8-inch low-density foam bed compress through the comfort layer and end up sleeping partly on the foundation foam.

At 10 inches, average-weight adults get proper cushioning depth. It's the same logic as the Zinus lineup: 8-inch for occasional use, 10-inch minimum for nightly.

    Who it's right for

Side and back sleepers under 180 pounds furnishing a first apartment, a kid graduating to a full-size bed, or a rental property. The gel-infused comfort foam keeps it from sleeping as warm as the cheapest foam beds.

Heavier sleepers and anyone with back pain should step up to the Machka Hybrid — the Elizabeth has no coil support structure and will develop impressions faster under bigger loads.

    How Sleep Sage Evaluates Mattresses

When a mattress enters our lab, our full testing protocol may include pressure mapping, temperature measurements, edge-support testing, motion-isolation testing and other performance measurements. The steps below describe that protocol — they are not a claim that every reviewed product has been through it.

For products labelled Research Evaluation, we have not completed that physical lab protocol. Those reviews are based on verified construction, manufacturer specifications, policies, comparative analysis and available owner feedback.

Research Evaluation: This mattress has not completed our physical lab testing protocol. Our evaluation is based on verified construction, manufacturer specifications, policies, comparative analysis and available owner feedback.

    Panel Testing

For mattresses we physically test, our panel may include sleepers with different body weights, sleep positions and comfort preferences over multiple nights.

    Pressure Mapping

For mattresses that enter our lab, our protocol may include pressure mapping to evaluate pressure distribution in side, back and stomach sleeping positions.

    Temperature Testing

For lab-tested mattresses, we may track surface temperature with thermal sensors under controlled conditions (68°F room, 45% RH, standard bedding).

    Edge & Motion Isolation

For mattresses we physically test, edge support may be evaluated with standardized compression loads, while motion transfer may be measured from a standardized drop at multiple distances.

    Durability Simulation

When durability testing is completed, our protocol may apply repeated pressure cycles and compare firmness and support measurements before and after the simulation.

    Value Assessment

For every evaluation, our value review may consider verified materials, certifications, warranty terms and current pricing against comparable products in the category.

Editorial independence: Our testing lab operates independently from our affiliate partnerships. Brands cannot pay for higher scores or influence our methodology. Read our full editorial policy and detailed testing methodology.
