While the pressure relief is excellent, this isn't the bed for everyone.
At a $2999 price point for a Queen, the ProAdapt sits squarely in the premium foam category, about $500 more than comparable non-Tempur foam models. Tempur-Pedic offers a 10-year warranty and a 90-night sleep trial, which is standard for the industry.

The ProAdapt is 12 inches: a SmartClimate dual cover with a zip-off, washable top panel, then a full inch of TEMPUR-APR — the brand's most pressure-relieving formulation and the material that distinguishes this tier — then TEMPUR-ES comfort foam, then the TEMPUR support layer over a base.
TEMPUR material is not conventional viscoelastic polyfoam. It is denser (roughly 4.1–5.3 lb/ft³ depending on layer) and it responds to body heat more slowly, which produces the melt-in feel the brand is known for and the near-total motion isolation that follows from it.
Density is also why these beds last. Foam durability tracks density more closely than any other single variable, and the ProAdapt's core is meaningfully denser than the 3 lb foams used in most boxed memory foam beds.

Who should skip it
Skip the ProAdapt if you sleep hot. The dense foam is the point of the bed and it is also why it retains heat; buy the LUXEbreeze or a hybrid instead of hoping a mattress protector fixes it.
Skip it if you change positions often or find it hard to move on a bed — the 2.4-second recovery reads as 'stuck' to some sleepers. And skip it if a 90-night trial feels short; that is Tempur-Pedic's standard and it is shorter than most direct-to-consumer rivals.
