The Superia is where the Hästens range begins, and it is the model we point people to when they want the brand's construction without the 2000T's five-figure-plus premium. The build philosophy is identical — hand-teased horsehair, cross-laid cotton and wool, and a pocket-spring core — but in a simpler two-part frame bed rather than the 2000T's three-part continental system. You give up a layer of spring refinement and some of the plush surface give; you keep the breathability, the longevity, and the made-by-hand construction that defines the brand. Starting around $12,500 in Queen with the base, it is priced against high-end Vispring and Aireloom flagship beds, and it wins that comparison on temperature neutrality and expected lifespan. It loses on initial plushness — the Superia is springier and firmer-edged than beds with thick foam or down comfort layers, which side sleepers under about 150 lb may notice in the first month before the natural fills settle.
