Our verdict
The Tuft & Needle Mint takes everything great about the Original and adds more. Two extra inches of height, a cooling gel layer, antimicrobial treatment via HeiQ, and reinforced edge support make this the sweet spot in the T&N lineup. If the Original is almost right but you want better cooling and pressure relief, the Mint is your upgrade.

The cover felt soft, but not overly plush – more of a durable, woven feel.
Where this mattress truly shines is cooling for an all-foam bed.
While the Mint is a solid performer, it’s not for everyone. Heavier individuals (over 230 lbs) might find it a touch too soft, potentially bottoming out the comfort layers and needing more robust support. Compared to the T&N Original, it's about $200 more expensive, so if budget is your absolute top priority and you don't specifically need the enhanced cooling or edge support, the Original might be a better fit.
Priced at $895 for a queen, the Mint offers good value given its upgrades in cooling and edge support over the Original, though it’s not the cheapest all-foam bed on the market. Tuft & Needle includes their standard 100-night trial, which is fairly typical, alongside a 10-year prorated warranty.
