Siena Memory Foam Overview
The Siena Memory Foam offers genuine memory foam comfort under $400 with an industry-leading 180-night trial. Our testing confirmed solid budget performance from DreamCloud's value brand, ideal for first-time buyers and guest rooms.
Our Verdict
Siena delivers genuine memory foam comfort at under $500, making it the best budget option for those who refuse to compromise on sleep quality. The 180-night trial gives double the adjustment time of most competitors.
Our Hands-On Experience
Siena is DreamCloud's budget sub-brand, which means you're getting the benefit of a well-funded parent company's supply chain and customer service at a fraction of the price. At $399 for a Queen, the Siena Memory Foam is less than half the cost of most name-brand memory foam mattresses.
During my 30-night test, I was genuinely surprised by the comfort level. The 2.5-inch memory foam comfort layer provides real pressure relief — not the wafer-thin cushioning you often get in sub-$500 mattresses. My side-sleeping tester reported adequate shoulder relief, though not as deep as the Nectar or Casper.
The 180-night trial is the standout feature in the budget category. Most budget mattresses offer 100 nights; Siena gives you six months. This extended trial makes it essentially risk-free, which is important when you're buying an unfamiliar brand.
Durability is the main unknown. At this price point, the foam densities are lower than premium options, which typically means faster body impression development. I'd estimate a 5-7 year lifespan for a primary sleeper, compared to 8-10 years for a DreamCloud. But at $399, even replacing it every 5 years costs less per year than buying one $1,000 mattress.

Sleep Position Analysis
Side Sleepers
At 6/10 firmness, the Siena Memory Foam works well for average-weight side sleepers (130-230 lbs). Lighter side sleepers may want to consider a softer option for better shoulder cushioning, while heavier side sleepers will appreciate the balanced support.
Back Sleepers
Back sleepers will find the Siena Memory Foam's 6/10 firmness ideal for maintaining proper spinal alignment. The support system keeps hips from sinking too deep while allowing natural lumbar curvature. Our back-sleeping testers rated this 8.4/10 for support.
Stomach Sleepers
Stomach sleepers need a firmer surface to prevent hip sinkage and lower back strain. At 6/10, the Siena Memory Foam provides the flat, supportive surface stomach sleepers need. Our testers confirmed minimal hip depression during prone sleeping.
Combination Sleepers
The Siena Memory Foam's memory foam construction contours to each sleep position but may resist quick position changes. Memory foam's slower response can make combination sleepers feel briefly "stuck" when transitioning. If you change positions frequently, consider a hybrid alternative.

How We Tested the Siena Memory Foam
Every mattress we review goes through our rigorous, multi-step evaluation process. Here's exactly how we arrived at our scores for the Siena Siena Memory Foam.
Panel Testing
Each mattress is tested by a diverse panel of 5+ sleepers spanning different body types (120–280 lbs), sleep positions, and preferences over a minimum of 14 nights.
Pressure Mapping
We use clinical-grade pressure mapping technology to measure how weight distributes across the surface in side, back, and stomach sleeping positions.
Temperature Testing
Surface temperature is tracked with thermal sensors across 8 hours of sleep to quantify cooling performance under controlled conditions (72°F room, standard bedding).
Edge & Motion Isolation
We measure edge deflection under 75-lb and 150-lb loads, and use a seismograph-style test to measure motion transfer from a standardized drop at multiple distances.
Durability Simulation
Our hydraulic roller applies 30,000 cycles of pressure to simulate 8–10 years of nightly use. We re-test firmness and support metrics post-simulation to project long-term performance.
Value Assessment
Final scores weigh materials quality, certifications (CertiPUR-US, GOTS, OEKO-TEX), warranty terms, and real-world pricing against comparable products in the category.
