    About FloBeds

FloBeds is a small family-run operation on the Northern California coast that has spent three decades on a single idea: a mattress should be tunable to the body lying on it, zone by zone.

The Posture vZone comfort layer is cut into six sections running head to foot — head, shoulders, lumbar, hips, thighs, feet — and each section can be pulled out and swapped for a softer or firmer piece of Talalay latex. On queen and larger, each side of the bed can be zoned independently.

It is the most adjustable mattress we are aware of, and it is aimed squarely at the sleeper conventional mattresses have failed: chronic lumbar pain, an unusual shoulder-to-waist ratio, or a partner with completely different needs.

    What they make

Zoned Talalay latex mattresses with individually swappable comfort zones; latex toppers, pillows and adjustable bases.

    FloBeds Signature Technologies

    Posture vZone Six-Zone Comfort Layer

The top latex layer is segmented into six zones per side, each independently replaceable by firmness, so shoulder softness and lumbar support can be set separately.

    Split-Side Configuration

Queen and larger beds can be zoned differently on each side for couples with different weights and sleep positions.

    Talalay Latex Cores

Talalay latex support cores available in multiple ILD ratings and splittable left to right.

    Best for

    • Chronic lower back pain that firmer or softer beds have not fixed

    • Couples with very different builds
    • Buyers who enjoy dialing in a setup over several weeks

    Not ideal for

    • Anyone who wants to unbox a mattress and never think about it again
    • Memory foam devotees
    • Tight budgets — this is premium pricing

How Much Does a FloBeds Mattress Cost?

FloBeds queens run $1,995$3,495 across the lineup (premium tier). The table below estimates the rest of the size ladder from that queen range using the standard size pricing brands apply — the low column tracks the entry model, the high column the flagship. Treat these as planning estimates rather than quotes: promotions move real street prices by 20–30% for weeks at a time.

    FloBeds FAQ

What makes FloBeds different from other latex mattresses?

Zoning. Most latex beds let you choose one firmness for the whole comfort layer. FloBeds cuts that layer into six sections head to foot and lets you replace each one separately, so you can soften just the shoulder region while firming just the lumbar.

    Is FloBeds worth the price?

It depends on your problem. If a conventional mattress works for you, no — you are paying for adjustability you will not use. If you have chronic lower back pain or unusual proportions and have already returned two or three mattresses, the zoning is a genuine solution and cheaper than another failed purchase.

How long does it take to dial in a FloBeds mattress?

Plan on several weeks. Most owners go through two or three rounds of zone swaps before settling. FloBeds walks customers through it by phone, which is the main reason the process works.

    Can couples have different firmnesses?

Yes. On queen and larger, each side is zoned independently, so partners with different weights and sleep positions get different configurations in the same mattress.
