Saatva launched in 2010 as one of the original direct-to-consumer luxury mattress brands. Unlike most bed-in-a-box competitors, Saatva refused to compress its products — every mattress ships fully assembled via white-glove delivery, free with old-mattress haul-away included.
The company is privately held and has remained focused on the luxury end of the market. Saatva's flagship Classic uses dual coil-on-coil construction, a design pulled from old-school hotel mattresses but largely abandoned by mass-market brands.
