About Amerisleep
Amerisleep replaced part of the petroleum content in its memory foam with plant-derived oils, producing Bio-Pur — a foam that is more breathable and faster-responding than standard viscoelastic foam.
The lineup is organised as a numbered firmness ladder, AS1 (firmest) through AS5 (softest), with Hybrid versions of most models. That structure makes it one of the easiest brands to match to a sleeping position without guesswork.

Lower numbers are firmer. AS1 is the firmest (about 8/10) for stomach sleepers, AS2 firm, AS3 medium and the best-selling all-rounder, AS4 soft for side sleepers, and AS5 softest for lightweight side sleepers or anyone wanting deep contour.
Which Amerisleep is best for back pain?
The AS2 or AS3, usually in the Hybrid version. Both keep the lumbar area supported through the HIVE zoned transition layer while giving enough shoulder relief to prevent rotation of the spine.
Is Bio-Pur really cooler than memory foam?
Measurably, yes — its open-cell structure moves air better, and our thermal panel recorded lower peak surface temperatures than standard gel memory foam of comparable density. It is not as cool as a latex hybrid.
