    About Naturepedic

Naturepedic began by building crib mattresses free of polyurethane foam, vinyl, and chemical flame retardants, then extended the same materials rule to adult beds.

The whole line is GOTS-certified organic and carries MADE SAFE certification — an unusually strict bar that excludes not just flame retardants but the polyfoam most 'natural' hybrids still use in transition layers.

The adult flagship, the EOS series, is modular: you choose the latex firmness for each layer and each side, and you can change them later. That makes it one of the most adaptable organic beds available.

    What they make

GOTS-certified organic latex and coil mattresses for adults, kids, and cribs; organic bedding.

    Origin

    American — handmade in Ohio

    Naturepedic Signature Technologies

    EOS Modular Layers

Swappable, side-specific latex layers so couples can set different firmness on each half of the same bed.

    Organic Cotton Fill

Cotton batting replaces polyfoam quilting entirely, so no polyurethane appears anywhere in the build.

    Encased Coil Support

Pocketed coils wrapped in organic cotton for support without foam encasements.

    Best for

    • Chemically sensitive sleepers and allergy sufferers
    • Parents buying certified organic kids' and crib mattresses
    • Couples who need different firmness on each side
    • Buyers who want no polyurethane foam whatsoever

    Not ideal for

    • Budget shoppers
    • Memory-foam fans
    • Anyone wanting a compressed bed-in-a-box (most models ship in components)

How Much Does a Naturepedic Mattress Cost?

Naturepedic queens run $1,800$5,000 across the lineup (luxury tier). The table below estimates the rest of the size ladder from that queen range using the standard size pricing brands apply — the low column tracks the entry model, the high column the flagship. Treat these as planning estimates rather than quotes: promotions move real street prices by 20–30% for weeks at a time.

    Naturepedic FAQ

What makes Naturepedic different from other organic brands?

Most 'natural' mattresses still use polyurethane foam in transition or edge layers. Naturepedic uses none — organic cotton batting, organic latex, and encased coils only — and holds both GOTS and MADE SAFE certification on the finished product.

Is the EOS worth the modular upgrade?

If two people in the bed disagree on firmness, yes — you can set each side independently and swap layers years later instead of buying a new mattress. For a solo sleeper who knows their preference, the simpler Chorus is better value.

    Are Naturepedic crib mattresses safe?

They are among the most thoroughly certified crib mattresses available: GOTS organic, MADE SAFE, no vinyl, no polyurethane, and no added flame retardant chemicals, with a waterproof organic cotton surface option.
