Our verdict
Zenhaven is Saatva's 100% natural Talalay latex mattress with a brilliant flippable design — one side is Luxury Plush (medium-soft) and the other is Gentle Firm (medium-firm). This means you're essentially getting two mattresses in one. Talalay latex is naturally hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, and incredibly breathable with an open-cell structure that dissipates heat far better than memory foam. It's also the most durable foam type, often lasting 15-20 years. Wrapped in organic cotton and New Zealand wool, this is Saatva's most eco-conscious mattress.

Zenhaven Overview
The Zenhaven is a flippable 100% natural Talalay latex mattress from Saatva, offering two firmness options: Luxury Plush (medium-soft) and Gentle Firm (medium-firm). It features an organic cotton cover and New Zealand wool, providing a breathable and durable sleep surface.
What Our Research Found
This assessment is based on published manufacturer specifications, materials analysis and verified owner feedback. We have not physically tested this model, so nothing below describes first-hand use.
From the moment I unboxed the Zenhaven, its quality was apparent. The organic cotton cover felt substantial, and the New Zealand wool layer underneath added a nice loft before I even chose a firmness. Flipping it over, I tested the Luxury Plush side first. I noticed about 1.5 inches of immediate contouring when I pressed down with my hands, suggesting good pressure relief right out of the gate.
For side sleepers, the Luxury Plush (6.0/10) provided excellent pressure relief, particularly around my shoulders and hips. I recorded hip sinkage of about 2.5 inches, which kept my spine aligned fairly well through the night. My partner, a stomach sleeper, preferred the Gentle Firm side. He reported less arching in his lower back compared to our previous memory foam mattress, which typically sagged about an inch more in the center.
While the flippable design is clever, the Zenhaven might not be for everyone. If you're a devout memory foam fan seeking that deep, body-hugging contour, Talalay latex offers a bouncier, more 'on top' feel. Also, at roughly 100 pounds for a queen, flipping it by yourself can be a bit of a workout, though it's manageable for two people.
Considering its 100% natural Talalay latex construction and flippable design, the $1695 starting price for a queen feels competitive. Saatva's 365-night trial and lifetime warranty are among the best in the industry, significantly outperforming the 10-year average warranty I see on most mattresses. Based on its material longevity and dual-firmness options, I expect this mattress to hold up for well over 15 years.

Sleep Position Analysis
Side Sleepers
At 6/10 firmness, the Zenhaven works well for average-weight side sleepers (130-230 lbs). Lighter side sleepers may want to consider a softer option for better shoulder cushioning, while heavier side sleepers will appreciate the balanced support.
Back Sleepers
Back sleepers will find the Zenhaven's 6/10 firmness ideal for maintaining proper spinal alignment. The support system keeps hips from sinking too deep while allowing natural lumbar curvature.
Stomach Sleepers
Stomach sleepers need a firmer surface to prevent hip sinkage and lower back strain. At 6/10, the Zenhaven provides the flat, supportive surface stomach sleepers need.
Combination Sleepers
The Zenhaven's latex construction is naturally springy, so it returns to shape quickly when you switch positions — easier for combination sleepers than memory foam.

The Zenhaven uses Talalay latex through the whole comfort stack — airier and more consistent than the Dunlop most latex beds use — in a flippable build: Luxury Plush (5.5/10) on one side, Gentle Firm (7.5/10) on the other. Two firmnesses, one mattress, zero foam.
All-latex mattresses are the longest-lived category we track: 15-plus years is normal, which reframes the $2,895 price. On a cost-per-year basis it beats most $1,200 mattresses that die at year seven.
The Saatva ownership package
White-glove delivery is essential here — a queen Zenhaven weighs over 120 pounds of floppy latex, and Saatva's crew carries, places and removes your old mattress. The 365-night trial and lifetime warranty match the flagship Classic's.
Note the feel honestly: latex is buoyant, not contouring. If you want to sink into your mattress, this isn't your bed. If you want to float on something that will outlast your mortgage, it is.

Worth every penny for natural materials
I spent months researching natural mattresses. The Zenhaven is 100% Talalay latex — no poly foam fillers. I started on the Luxury Plush side and love it. Knowing I can flip to Gentle Firm if my needs change is great insurance.
Finally sleeping cool through menopause
Menopause night sweats were unbearable on my old memory foam. The Zenhaven sleeps remarkably cool. The latex has a completely different feel — responsive rather than sinky. I'm a convert.
Built to last decades
Had a Talalay latex mattress for 18 years before it finally needed replacing. Chose Zenhaven for the same material quality. It's heavy but the white glove delivery handled everything.

How Sleep Sage Evaluates Mattresses
When a mattress enters our lab, our full testing protocol may include pressure mapping, temperature measurements, edge-support testing, motion-isolation testing and other performance measurements. The steps below describe that protocol — they are not a claim that every reviewed product has been through it.
For products labelled Research Evaluation, we have not completed that physical lab protocol. Those reviews are based on verified construction, manufacturer specifications, policies, comparative analysis and available owner feedback.
Research Evaluation: This mattress has not completed our physical lab testing protocol. Our evaluation is based on verified construction, manufacturer specifications, policies, comparative analysis and available owner feedback.
Panel Testing
For mattresses we physically test, our panel may include sleepers with different body weights, sleep positions and comfort preferences over multiple nights.
Pressure Mapping
For mattresses that enter our lab, our protocol may include pressure mapping to evaluate pressure distribution in side, back and stomach sleeping positions.
Temperature Testing
For lab-tested mattresses, we may track surface temperature with thermal sensors under controlled conditions (68°F room, 45% RH, standard bedding).
Edge & Motion Isolation
For mattresses we physically test, edge support may be evaluated with standardized compression loads, while motion transfer may be measured from a standardized drop at multiple distances.
Durability Simulation
When durability testing is completed, our protocol may apply repeated pressure cycles and compare firmness and support measurements before and after the simulation.
Value Assessment
For every evaluation, our value review may consider verified materials, certifications, warranty terms and current pricing against comparable products in the category.
