Our verdict

The Aurora Luxe Cooling is the bed Brooklyn Bedding builds its cooling story around, and it is the current generation โ€” not the older Aurora Hybrid. The stack is a GlacioTex cooling cover over quilt foam, 1.5 inches of VX 3.5 copper-infused responsive foam, an inch of HD 3.0 memory foam, an inch of Variflex transition foam and an 8-inch Ascension zoned coil unit of up to 1,032 individually encased coils on a base foam layer. It stands 13.25 inches, or 14.5 inches with the optional Cloud Pillowtop, and is sold in Soft, Medium and Firm at the same price. Brooklyn Bedding manufactures it in its own Arizona factory, which is where the factory-direct pricing comes from.

Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe Overview

The Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe pairs a GlacioTex cooling cover with copper-infused foam over zoned Ascension coils, in Soft, Medium and Firm at one price. A research evaluation based on verified construction, manufacturer specifications and policies.

What Our Research Found

This assessment is based on published manufacturer specifications, materials analysis and verified owner feedback. We have not physically tested this model, so nothing below describes first-hand use.

The Aurora Luxe Cooling is Brooklyn Bedding's cooling flagship, and the cooling story is built into the materials rather than bolted on: a GlacioTex cover at the surface, then copper-infused VX 3.5 foam beneath it.

At $1,999 queen it sits above Brooklyn Bedding's own Signature and below most luxury hybrids. All three firmness builds โ€” Soft, Medium and Firm โ€” cost the same, which is unusual and genuinely useful if you are unsure which feel you need.

The copper foam is responsive rather than slow-conforming, so on paper it should make repositioning easier than a memory-foam bed of the same softness. The single inch of HD 3.0 memory foam underneath is what adds the contour, and it is a thin layer by design.

The Ascension coil unit is zoned with a reinforced perimeter, which is the construction reason to expect usable edges. The 120-night trial is short next to Nectar or Saatva, though the limited lifetime warranty is stronger than most. For hot sleepers who want a choice of firmness, the Aurora Luxe is a sensible shortlist entry.

Research evaluation โ€” full lab score pending

Evaluated through published specifications, manufacturer information and materials analysis. Not physically tested in our lab. We do not publish cooling, motion-isolation, edge-support, pressure-relief, response, durability or off-gassing scores for the Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe until the full protocol is complete. Everything below โ€” construction, materials, firmness, pricing, trial and warranty โ€” is verified specification and editorial analysis.

Research evaluation โ€” full lab score pending

The Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe has been evaluated from published specifications, manufacturer data, materials analysis and verified owner feedback. It has not been through our lab. Rather than publish estimated numbers, we leave this table empty and publish no Sleep Sage performance scores until the measurements exist.

Firmness Level

Medium Soft (5.5/10)

What We Love

  • Three firmness choices at one price โ€” Soft, Medium or Firm
  • GlacioTex cooling cover included as standard, not an upgrade
  • Copper-infused responsive foam over memory foam, so cushioning without full memory-foam sink
  • Ascension zoned coil unit with up to 1,032 individually encased coils
  • Limited lifetime warranty and factory-direct pricing from Brooklyn Bedding's own plant

What Could Be Better

  • 120-night trial is shorter than the year-long windows from Nectar, DreamCloud or Saatva
  • The Cloud Pillowtop that softens the surface is a paid upgrade
  • Heavy to move and set up alone
  • Foam densities beyond the named VX 3.5 and HD 3.0 grades are not published

Best For

  • Hot sleepers who want cooling built into the cover
  • Side and combination sleepers on the Soft or Medium build
  • Back and stomach sleepers who need the Firm build
  • Couples who want a choice of feel without paying more for it

Not Ideal For

  • Buyers who want a long trial window before committing
  • Shoppers under $1,500 โ€” Brooklyn Bedding's own Signature costs far less
  • People who want the deep, slow contour of an all-foam memory bed

Mattress Construction

1

GlacioTex cooling cover

Brooklyn Bedding's heat-conductive cover fabric, fitted as standard on the Aurora Luxe.

2

Quilted comfort foam

Quilt foam sewn into the cover panel for surface cushioning.

3

VX 3.5 copper responsive foam (1.5")

An inch and a half of copper-infused responsive foam โ€” contouring that springs back rather than holding an impression.

4

HD 3.0 memory foam (1")

One inch of higher-density memory foam for pressure relief through the shoulders and hips.

5

Variflex transition foam (1")

An inch of transition foam easing the change from the soft comfort layers into the coil unit.

6

Ascension zoned coils (8")

Eight inches of individually encased coils โ€” up to 1,032 in a queen โ€” zoned for support and reinforced around the perimeter.

7

Base foam (0.75")

Three quarters of an inch of foundation foam stabilising the coil unit.

8

Optional Cloud Pillowtop

A paid upgrade that adds a pillowtop layer and takes total height to 14.5 inches. Not fitted unless you select it.

Sleep Position Analysis

Side Sleepers

At 5.5/10 firmness, the Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe works well for average-weight side sleepers (130-230 lbs). Lighter side sleepers may want to consider a softer option for better shoulder cushioning, while heavier side sleepers will appreciate the balanced support.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers will find the Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe's 5.5/10 firmness ideal for maintaining proper spinal alignment. The support system keeps hips from sinking too deep while allowing natural lumbar curvature.

Stomach Sleepers

At 5.5/10 firmness, the Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe may be too soft for stomach sleepers. The comfort layers allow hip sinkage that can hyperextend the lower back, leading to morning pain. Stomach sleepers should consider a firmer option (7+ on our scale).

Combination Sleepers

The Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe's hybrid construction provides responsive support that adapts as you change positions. The coil unit gives back bounce that makes repositioning effortless.

Which Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe Model Should You Buy?

Brooklyn Bedding builds several hybrids in the same Arizona factory, and the Aurora Luxe Cooling is the one positioned around cooling. It is a different, newer bed from the older Aurora Hybrid, and the specifications below are the current generation only. Every firmness costs the same.

What the cooling stack is actually made of

Two things do the cooling work here, and both are materials rather than claims. The GlacioTex cover is Brooklyn Bedding's heat-conductive fabric, fitted as standard on the Aurora Luxe rather than sold as an upgrade the way the same brand sells it on the Titan line. Under it sits 1.5 inches of VX 3.5 copper-infused foam; copper is a conductive metal, and infusing it into foam is a common approach to moving heat away from the surface.

This is a research evaluation. We have not put the Aurora Luxe through our instrumented thermal protocol, so this page contains no surface-temperature figure, no degree-of-rise measurement and no overnight test result. What we can say is what the mattress is built from and what that construction is designed to do.

Three firmnesses at one price, and what changes between them

Soft, Medium and Firm all cost $1,999 in a queen and all use the same 8-inch Ascension zoned coil unit underneath. What changes is the comfort layer formulation above the coils, which is why the height stays at 13.25 inches across the range.

If you sleep mostly on your side, the Soft build gives the shoulders and hips somewhere to go. If you sleep on your back or your front, or you are over roughly 230 lb, the Firm build keeps the hips from dropping. Combination sleepers are usually best served by the Medium. Brooklyn Bedding also offers a one-time comfort exchange within the trial window, which is the safety net if you choose wrong.

Where the 120-night trial leaves you

The warranty is the strong half of the policy package: limited lifetime, which beats the ten- and fifteen-year terms common at this price. The trial is the weak half. One hundred and twenty nights is enough time to adapt to a new bed, but it is a third of what Nectar, DreamCloud and Saatva offer, and if you are the kind of buyer who wants a full season of use before deciding, that gap matters.

Because the mattress is made to order in Brooklyn Bedding's own factory, delivery takes longer than a warehouse-stocked boxed bed, and there is no white glove setup included. Budget for handling a heavy queen yourself or arranging help.
