Titan specifies it at 14 inches with a GlacioTex+ Cooling Cloud pillow top, 1.25 inches of TitanFlex comfort foam, a 0.75-inch micro-coil layer of up to 2,756 individually encased micro-coils, an inch of Variflex transition foam, an eight-inch TitanCore unit of up to 900 individually encased coils, and an inch of high-density base foam. That dual-coil arrangement is the defining difference from the rest of the line. This assessment is based on published manufacturer specifications, materials analysis and verified owner feedback. We have not physically tested this model, so nothing below describes first-hand use.
Three Titan beds, three different specifications, and the names do nothing to help. The Titan Plus is the firm, flat original. The Titan Plus Luxe is 13 inches with a quilted gel-foam top. The Plus Elite — this page — is 14 inches with a GlacioTex+ Cooling Cloud pillow top and, crucially, a second coil layer. Do not read specifications from one as if they applied to another.
The dual-coil arrangement is the reason this model exists. Up to 2,756 individually encased micro-coils sit above the eight-inch TitanCore unit of up to 900 coils. Micro-coils behave differently from foam in a comfort layer: they compress locally, so contouring happens without the whole surface sinking. For a bed aimed at higher body weights, that is a sensible way to add cushioning without giving up support.
On the weight claim, we quote Titan directly: the brand states the mattress is engineered to support over 1,200 pounds. That is a structural specification about what the build is designed to carry without developing a permanent dip. It is not a promise that the feel suits every heavier sleeper — this bed is sold in one medium-firm feel only, and no weight rating tells you whether a surface will cushion your shoulder.
What you get over the Plus Luxe: the micro-coil layer, an extra inch of height, and the cooling cover fitted as standard rather than sold as an upgrade. What you pay is a clear step up in price. Titan does not publish foam densities or ILD values, so a spec-for-spec durability comparison against a premium hybrid is not possible from published data.

The Plus Elite puts up to 2,756 individually encased micro-coils in a 0.75-inch layer directly above the eight-inch TitanCore unit of up to 900 coils. Micro-coils compress locally and independently, so the surface can contour around a shoulder or a hip without the whole comfort layer collapsing the way a thick foam panel can at higher body weights.
That matters most for exactly the sleeper this bed is aimed at. Foam comfort layers at 230 lb and above have to be firm enough not to bottom out, which usually means giving up cushioning. A micro-coil layer is a way to have both, and it is the specification that separates the Elite from the Plus Luxe.

Titan says the Plus Elite is engineered with high-quality materials to support over 1,200 pounds. We quote that directly from the brand's product page rather than inferring a capacity from marketing photography or from another Titan model's rating.
Read it for what it is: a structural claim about what the build is designed to carry without permanent sagging — which is the actual failure mode heavier sleepers encounter. It says nothing about whether the surface will feel right for you. There is one medium-firm feel, and no weight rating can substitute for that judgment.
What you are paying for over the Plus Luxe
Three things: the micro-coil layer, an extra inch of height, and the GlacioTex+ Cooling Cloud pillow top fitted as standard instead of sold as an upgrade. Titan also states the TitanFlex foam is infused with TitaniumGel, and that the hybrid design and porous foams promote airflow.
The gaps are the same as elsewhere in the line. Foam densities and ILD values are not published, so you cannot compare durability specification-for-specification against a premium hybrid. The trial is 120 nights. And Titan lists the mattress at 80–150 lb depending on size, so plan on help when it arrives.
